We did it again - made it through winter with warmth on its way. We want to welcome new members to the Singles fold. It's a lovely way to meet new people and do interesting things.
For two months we experimented with changing our meeting date to Fridays. We have since returned to meeting the first Wednesday of every month and are sorry for the confusion this may have caused.
We'd like to spotlight several other members of our planning committee. They are Phyllis Biernick, Mickie Feinstein, Estelle Hochman and Phyliss Kayne. These special ladies, each involved in many MWI activities, work tirelessly and cooperatively planning Singles. They identify interesting events and venues, collect checks, purchase tickets, make arrangements and prepare and present monthly minutes for our members. We could not have an ongoing and active program without them.
We have been to the Madison Theater at Molloy College to see "Great American Love Songs," CAP in Syosset for "Avenue Q," "Damn Yankees" at Elmont Library, and "Beau Jest" and "The King and I" at the Star Theater in Commack. These are just some of what we have enjoyed. Beginning this April we plan to offer many new events including city tours and a trip to the Holocaust Museum in Glen Cove.
Please join us, at least for lunch. Looking forward to it.
