Creative Writing is the last word in MWI study groups...figuratively of course. Here's the inside story on what we do: Everyone writes a short piece on a topic (given to them randomly the month before) and then reads it aloud at our meeting. The atmosphere is warm and congenial, and conducive to the give and take of sharing not only our written words but our feelings, experiences, opinions and senses of humor.
The second part of the meeting is a spontaneous writing exercise. Everyone is given a paper with 3 words, again chosen randomly, and we write for about 10 minutes, incorpoprating those words, and then read aloud. It's amazing how we always find something to say!
Creative Writing I meets at 1 p.m. on the last Friday of the month. Creative Writing II meets ats 1 p.m. on the third Friday of the month. Enrollment is limited; please contact us for information write...oops, make that right away.
