The Write Stuff

Creative Writing is the last word in MWI study groups...figuratively of course. Here's the inside story on what we do: Everyone writes a short piece on the same topic (chosen the month before) and then reads it aloud at our meeting. Since we meet in each other's homes, the atmosphere is warm and congenial ( a little coffee, cake and fruit doesn't hurt either!) and conducive to the give-and take of sharing not only our written words but our feelings, experiences, opinions and senses of humor.

The second part of the meeting is a spontaneous writing exercise. Everyone chooses a different topic out of a bowl; we write for about 10 minutes and then read aloud. It's amazing how we always find something to say!

Creative Writing meets at 1 p.m. on the last Friday of the month. Enrollment is limited; please
contact us for information write...oops, make that right away.
