Pennies Project
One Penny...One Soul

Addy Kalsmith
ONE PENNY...ONE SOUL

They called it "One Penny, One Soul," an idea conceived by two Brandeis University undergraduate students, twenty years ago. The idea was to collect six million pennies to remember each person lost to the world in the Holocaust. At MWI, we embraced the concept, and at Study Group meetings, luncheons, and special events, the familiar rattling of the pennies canister reminds our members to set aside their pennies. Thus far, we have added to our ongoing and increasing number -  645,350 pennies collected to date.

To help insure such a horrific event will never happen again, the money is being donated to Yad Vashem. It is to used in their programs to educate future generations in understanding thte consequences of bigotry and hatred.

With heartfelt thanks for your continued support,
                                                                    Addy
