AWSM, Advancing Women in Science and Medicine, recently had its fifteenth annual luncheon. WMI was among the donors at the luncheon who gave a grant to a researcher. AWSM is part of the Feinstein Intitutes. It was formed to address issues relating to women and their problems in the field of science and research.
Our grant went to a postdoctoral researcher who is studying neuropsychiatric lupus, a debilitating complication of the disease.
We are so proud to be part of the work which strives to investigate areas that will insure a better and healthier life for generations to come.
We look forward to MWI meeting our researcher in the coming year, and learning more about her work.
